Creativepool Annual 2024: The “Most” Awards Launched at Sinfonia Smith Square

The creative industry’s most anticipated event, the launch of the Creativepool Annual 2024, took place this week at the newly named Sinfonia Smith Square in London. This year’s Annual celebrated the very best in creativity, showcasing a shortlist that highlighted the pinnacle of talent from agencies, brands, and individuals worldwide.

A Landmark Year for Creative Excellence

In its 11th year, the Creativepool Annual continued to set the benchmark for creative recognition, highlighting groundbreaking work from both established and emerging names in the industry. This year’s Annual was particularly noteworthy, marking the first time in its history that there were two Grand Prix winners, both awarded to Edelman for their exceptional contributions.

In total, 350 winners were recognised this year, making it the largest celebration of creative talent in the event’s history. Notably, this included a record-breaking 34 Gold awards, underscoring the high calibre of entries across all categories.

Expanding Horizons: New Categories and Honours

Reflecting the ever-evolving creative landscape, the 2024 Annual introduced four new categories: Art, Artificial Intelligence, Self-Initiated, and Spatial Design. These additions highlighted Creativepool’s commitment to embracing emerging fields and innovative practices.

This year also saw the introduction of the inaugural awards for Network of the Year and Design Agency of the Year, with AKQA and SomeOne both securing these prestigious titles in both the Judges’ and People’s Choice categories.

In a historic first, the Best Agency to Work For award resulted in a two-way tie, with different agencies equally impressing both the judges and the Creativepool community. This unique outcome emphasised the diverse and dynamic nature of today’s creative workplaces.

Creativepool Annual 2024 Award Ceremony: An Unmissable Event

The grand reveal of this year’s Annual 2024 winners occurred on September 5th, 2024, at the elegant Sinfonia Smith Square, London, UK. The exclusive invite-only event gathered some of the world’s most creative companies, brands, and agencies alongside our esteemed panel of judges and industry leaders.

We revealed this year’s Annual winners, including those selected by our judges and the People’s Choice winner in each category. This year’s Creativepool Annual Shortlist was our best yet, reflecting the incredible talent and companies that make up our vibrant community. Once again, the record for People’s Choice voting was broken, with tens of thousands of people casting their votes.

Not Your Everyday Award Ceremony

Creativepool is renowned for doing things a little differently, and the Annual launch was no exception. Held at Sinfonia Smith Square, our new venue since last year, the Annual Launch was far from the typical table-driven, four-hour sit-down affair. Instead, attendees had the freedom to move and mingle or relax in the bar downstairs.

With an open bar serving the best in free wine, beers, and champagne, guests were well-lubricated for a night of celebration in style. Canapés and bowl food circulated throughout the night, ensuring everyone was well-fuelled as they connected with peers, shared ideas, and celebrated the achievements of the global creative community.

The Industry’s Most Award

Dubbed the “Most Award” for its innovation and impact, the Creativepool Annual 2024 was more than just a trophy; it was a gateway to global exposure and industry acclaim. As the most distributed creative award, it guaranteed unparalleled visibility, with tens of thousands of copies reaching key decision-makers in agencies and brands worldwide.

The Annual also stood out as the only award offering a dual chance to win through both a traditional jury and a People’s Choice vote, ensuring broad-based recognition of creative excellence.

Judging and People’s Choice

The judging panels for this year’s Annual comprised top-tier creatives and marketers from leading global brands and agencies, including TAG HEUER, Coca-Cola, IMAX, Grey, Media.Monks, VML, and FCB.

The People’s Choice vote offered the entire Creativepool community a chance to participate in selecting winners, making the Annual the only award in the creative industry to embrace such a democratic approach.

Commitment to Innovation and Sustainability

In addition to its global reach and dual recognition system, the Creativepool Annual stood out as the industry’s only carbon-positive award. A portion of all profits was dedicated to reforestation and woodland protection initiatives, reflecting Creativepool’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Every shortlisted entrant also received constructive feedback from the judging panel, providing invaluable insights into the impact of their work.
